Canadian Smartphone company RIM has announced that they are planning to open upto 15 premium stores in India within this year . The very first premium store was opened in Delhi around the Global launch of BlackBerry 9920 in April 2012. The second store was inaugurated on 11 May 2012, Friday. RIM has decided to open these stores in all major location in India by which it can further penetrate in all the top metro cities.
Sunil Dutt, MD, RIM India told the press that RIM plans to open at least 10-15 premium stores in all the major locations in India including cities including Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore & Delhi.
So what will be there in these premium stores??? Sunil Dutt, Managing Director of RIM India answer this question by stating that these stores will be showcasing both consumer & business applications with live demos which will enhance the customer experience further leading to the brand reputation.
Recently RIM was able to increase it’s subscriber base especially with the youth market & opening stores in all major locations like Indonesia, Thailand & even Dubai these markets are growing at a faster rate & high demand
